Today is the launch of Talli Roland's fab new book 'Watching Willow Watts' and to celebrate she's having a great online party. All you have to do to take part is let her - and everyone else - know who you would like to be if you could be any one at all.
For me that wasn't difficult because if I could be anyone I would be...BETTY BOOP!
Why Betty Boop?
She is fabulous! She is beautiful, sexy, classy, sassy, stylish, funny and her clothes are amazing. She's really feminine but at the same time she's tough and knows what she wants from life. Originally Betty represented the flapper girls from the great Jazz Era. When I was a little girl I always wanted to be a flapper and I could do a pretty good Charleston by the time I was four years old. In fact, even now, if I go to a fancy dress party I almost always go as a flapper although maybe I'll start going as Betty from now on.
Unfortunately I wasn't organised enough to sort myself out with a Betty costume for the party so here is a picture of her instead in her classic Marilyn Monroe pose which is appropriate as 'Watching Willow Watts' is all about a girl who impersonates Marilyn Monroe.
'Watching Willow Watts is available on Amazon now and the paperback will be out in November. I will review it on here as soon as I've finished reading it but in the meantime why not pop over and join in the rest of the party at Talli's blog http://talliroland.blogspot.com/ Have fun!!

Great choice!
Thanks so much for taking part!
Rebecca, I know. It would have been such a laugh to get dressed up as her but you never know - I may still do it and do a future post about it ;-)
Thanks for the lovely comments. D.
Susan - thanks. The Charleston is such a great dance but yes, it does seem to make people laugh and in my case not just kids. Doesn't stop me doing it though :)
J.L. - you're right. She is taken for granted and what a lot of people don't realise is that she was very inspirational when she first appeared in...wait for it...1930! 81 years ago.
