The Best of Both Worlds

At last!! I've made my decision regarding blogging and I'm now going to stick with it.

Two days ago I wrote that I was going to turn Cupcakes and Cadenzas back into a motivational/inspirational blog as more and more general posts had been creeping in and that wasn't what I wanted it to be about. It was originally set up to be a blog about anything and everything but through time more and more motivational/inspirational posts started creeping in and so I thought that I should put it into the motivational niche.

However, having given it ~~a lot of~~ even more thought over the last couple of days I have decided that I really do like having a nicheless blog where I can write about anything and everything including Filofaxes, iPads and book reviews to name but a few topics. The result is that Cupcakes and Cadenzas will go back to what it was originally - a blog about anything and everything.

For those of you who are following or visit this blog purely for the motivational/inspirational posts, I have now set up a completely new blog for that and over the next few days I will be gradually moving all the relevant posts over there. You can find the new blog at:

Cupcakes and Cadenzas will not be changing in any way other than posts will now include anything and everything I want to write about.

I like that direction. It gives you flexibility and you can create pages for your different categories.

It's nice to have a blog where you can just talk about anything that interests you and having different pages for different categories is a great idea! That way people can find exactly what they're looking for without having to trawl through the entire blog.

Stop! It's Going Too Fast and I Want to Get Off!

Carousel Okay - I don't actually mean that I want things to stop so that I can get off because I'm having too much fun but, over the last few months, my life has become a daily whirlwind of new businesses, taking on new projects, building websites and building a brand and it's not showing any sign of slowing down. I have loved every minute of it so far but it has meant that so many other things in my life have had to be put on the back burner whilst all this has been going on, including Cupcakes and Cadenzas. It will all have been worth it in the long run but I just want to say thanks to everyone who has stuck around and not abandoned this blog and to say that I haven't forgotten about it or you. The Sad Songs Blogfest

This is the first time I've ever taken part in a Blogfest and it has been great fun! Thank you to Diane for organising it. A-Z Blogging Challenge: E is for...Elsie Marley

This is a rhyme that I hadn't heard until I started this challenge although some people I have spoken to have been surprised that I hadn't heard it so I'm learning stuff from this too. 'Elsie Marley's grown so fine. She won't get up to feed the swine, But lies in bed 'til eight or nine! And surely does she take her time.' This little rhyme seems innocent enough.
